Game 4 winner ‘is going to win the series’

They ask you on the network show right after our show, who’s gonna win? What are you gonna tell us? I believe that the Golden State Warriors are gonna win. I anticipate *** seven game series. I also feel like at the beginning of the series I picked them to win and I’ve got to stick to my prediction. And that doesn’t come true if the Celtics go up 31, if the Celtics go up 31, this series is gonna be over, and so I believe whoever wins this game is gonna win the series today, that’s gonna be the gold.

Jalen Rose of ‘NBA Countdown’: Game 4 winner ‘is going to win the series’

Many Boston Celtics fans believe that if the C’s win Game 4 of the NBA Finals on Friday, they will win their 18th championship.ESPN basketball analyst Jalen Rose also shares that belief.”If the Celtics go up 3-1, this series is going to be over,” said Rose, who is featured on ABC’s “NBA Countdown” coverage. “So, I believe whoever wins this game is going to win the series.”One big caveat, however, is that Rose predicts Boston’s opponent, the Golden State Warriors, will end up winning Game 4 and ultimately win the NBA Finals.”I anticipate a seven-game series. At the beginning of the series, I picked (the Warriors) to win and I’ve got to stick to my prediction. And that doesn’t come true if the Celtics go up 3-1,” Rose said. When it comes to picking a key player for Game 4, Rose said he will be watching Celtics center Robert Williams III.”If you look at a lot of the plays that happen — offensive rebounds, points in the paint, second- chance points — it was just effort, height and will. Robert Williams was a huge part of that,” Rose said. Williams, who has been struggling to play well consistently throughout the playoffs while dealing with a surgically-repaired left knee, looked close to his best in Game 3. He finished that game with eight points, 10 rebounds, three steals and four blocks, the l atter of which Rose called a game changer.”He was terrific in that game and the Celtics, when he plays that way, they’re virtually unbeatable,” Rose said.
